First Chevrolet Volt retail customer takes delivery

A retired airline pilot is the first person to receive a Chevrolet Volt after "Nissan turned over its first new LEAF"
Although accomplished in a decidedly lower-profile manner, the first Chevrolet Volt was delivered to its owner four days after Nissan turned over its first new LEAF. In the case of Chevy's equally-groundbreaking vehicle, this handover took place a couple of weeks ahead of when the automaker had originally promised deliveries would begin.
